About Me

My name is Laani Gray and I live in Fort Nelson, a small town in Northern BC, with my husband and dogs, Rúna the Siberian Husky and Magnús the American Akita. I like to take a million photos of them and post about their adventures on their Instagram account @lord.buckington.

The town where we live is surrounded by the spectacular Boreal Forest, and our subarctic climate means our winters are very long. While I love our beautiful surroundings, funny enough I don't actually like the cold. So with winters that often span 8 months and dip into the -40’s, I spend a lot of time crafting. I've been making crafts and gifts for friends and family for as long as I can remember, but am for the first time following their suggestions to sell the things I make.

When I'm not crafting, I like to eat and drink and bake or spend my time outside; I like to hike, camp, garden and travel. I am an amateur photographer and completely obsessed with dogs. I'm also inspired by my Estonian heritage, by Scandinavian vikings and Norse mythology.

The word I've heard most to describe me is quirky. My personality, my life and my style may be a little unusual but it makes me happy. So I hope you enjoy my quirky shop!
